WISE UP Workshops CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Morecambe.
Who is Wise Up & what are our aims?
Elspeth Roberts, our founder, created Wise Up Workshops in 2013, an inclusive creative programme for young people with additional needs and disabilities to build confidence and self-esteem. Within 12 months we then expanded our offer to EVERYONE, to all ages & all abilities through theatre-making, storytelling, therapeutic play & performance skills.
Our main aims are to offer a safe space, to build confidence, life skills & resilience in our local community through creative arts. The Wise Up programme is service user led through understanding conversations with our community, to celebrate people’s skills & personal stories, to offer new opportunities and to celebrate what people CAN do together with everyone.
Everyday there is something for everyone, to be involved, to experience, to share and to be part of something positive.
